Links Development is a sales training, consulting and coaching business founded and run by Steve Hoyle.

He spent many years firstly as a practicing salesperson and sales leader, and then founding, running and selling his own sales training company, before specialising as a sales and sales leadership leadership coach for the last few years.

After graduating with a degree in Computer Science from Imperial College, London, Steve progressed from a salesperson to sales manager, sales director and general manager with global companies such as Data General, Digital Equipment, Apple and 3Com.

Steve founded ProAct Business Development in 2001, and grew the business until it was sold in 2011. Since then he has worked as an independent consultant, coach and trainer. He has extensive international experience, having delivered assignments in 47 countries across the globe.

Steve has written many articles and papers, and is a popular speaker at conferences and seminars. He specialises in development of sales leaders and also in account planning; his book, Real Account Planning, is often regarded as the definitive guide to account planning.

He is married with two grown-up children, lives in Bookham, Surrey in the United Kingdom as well as Abondance in the French Alps. He lists his hobbies as trail running, hill walking, cycling, and skiing.
